In 2016-2017 we built a technical vocational school, where – often traumatized – young people can follow vocational training. A few years later in 2019, the school turned out to be – much – too small and the building was expanded with 3 classrooms. This project was realized by Havonos in collaboration with Stichting Een Helpende Hand (SEHH). Computers have also been placed for use in the ICT lessons for the young people, which have been donated by the TransFair Foundation from Leerdam, among others.
Meanwhile, Father Carowf has taken over from Father Phillip. The 3 new classrooms initially had no exterior walls. All kinds of birds flew into the classrooms, with the accompanying nuisance. The walls are therefore closed with windows and doors so that the students can follow their lessons undisturbed, the classrooms are festively opened. The multifunctional center is very well attended, under the enthusiastic and inspiring leadership of Father Carowf all kinds of courses are given, from music, karate, workshops, sewing training, (bridal) visagi to even organizing a blood donation in the YEC for the hospital.
